Summer is on it’s way and you know what that means; outdoor (free) fitness activities will begin to pop up. Soon groups will be using the world around us as their gym. Whether it’s running up the art museum steps or yoga on the pier, staying fit this summer won’t hurt your wallet.

1. Free Yoga at Race Street Pier – Monday – Sunday
Bring your yoga mat down to the waterfront for free daily classes (weather permitting). Classes run from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday (yes, there are two classes Monday through Thursday!) and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

2. Dilworth Park Free Fitness Classes – Every Weekday
Dilworth Park’s free fitness classes continue for the spring and summer in 2017. Enjoy yoga, boot camp, zumba classes and more! Click here to check out the full schedule that will be going on this year.

3. November Project – Every Wednesday and Friday
This one needs no introduction. Chances are you love free fitness because of November Project. The group meets every Wednesday & Friday morning at 6:25AM for a sub 60 min workout filled with all the sweat and hugs you can handle. All fitness levels welcome and encouraged.

4. HgAthletics Workout Series – Monthly
TheHgAthletics fitness group, born out of Honeygrow, will be bringing back their outdoor workout series in 2017. Join them every month on the second Monday between May through August, as they offer free workouts that are sure to keep you moving (get it?). Each workout will have a different trainer and be hosted at a different location. So make sure to like their page on Facebook to stay in the know!

5. Group Runs – Almost Every Day!
This wouldn’t be a proper running site without showing where you can get in a free group run. And with as much as Philly loves running, there’s almost too many to list! Almost. Go to our group run page to find one near you. Whether you are in Point Breeze, King of Prussia, Torresdale or anywhere in between you’re never too far from a free group run.
