Have you heard about the New York Road Runners 4 Mile New Years Eve Midnight Run? If not, check it out here. This is a 4 Mile Run through Manhattan that will begin at 11:59 on New Years Eve night! That’s right, ring in 2016 with a 4 mile run just blocks away from the epicenter of New Years Eve; Times Square.
Now that you’re interested, are you thinking to yourself: “Hmm, that sounds like fun, how can I get there?” Well runBUCKS is here to help!
runBUCKS has chartered a coach bus to travel from Philadelphia to Central Park for the NYRR Midnight Run! As they put it, this is the big kind of bus with the bathroom in the back, so you don’t have to be bothered with porta-john lines!
There will be two pick-up’s to get to NYC:
First pick-up: Will be under the Spring Garden Street El stop in Philadelphia at 7:45PM.
Contact person is Fred Druding
Second pick-up: Will be at the Yardley Park and Ride at I-95 and Taylorsville Road at 8:30PM.
Contact person is Pat McCloskey
The cost of the bus is $37.50 per rider and this does not include race entry fee (currently $60 for non-NYRR members). The group will have someone pick up race packets in New York City on December 30th so be sure to register by December 29 to make sure you have your packet on the bus.
The group typically spends a little time in New York after the race. The bus will leave New York City at 2:30AM, stopping first in Yardley, PA then in Philadelphia.
Non runners are welcomed but there is no discount rate.
Under Age participants are allowed only when accompanied by an adult
