It was recently announced that registration for the Philly 10K will be opening up soon. Less than a week to be exact. As someone who ran their inaugural race last year, please trust us when we say you don’t want to miss this race. No other organized running event embraces the heart of South Philadelphia the way this race does. In fact we don’t believe that any other race in the city runs South Philadelphia the way this race does.
We all know the river loop. We have run up and down MLK Dr and that awful Sweetbriar hill a million times. However now is your chance to run a part of Philadelphia you have seen many times before, but not like this. Explore the course here. The Philly 10K truly embraces the heart of South Philadelphia. Those famous scenes from the Rocky movies that the world has seen. Don’t miss your chance!
Last year the folks at Philadelphia Brewing created a special beer just for this race. And believe us, it was amazing! The whole community comes out for this event and you should too.
Registration opens Monday May 11th. Please take these words seriously: do not miss the registration date. And we mean, the minute it opens. Last year the race sold out immediately. Not days, not weeks, the race was sold out in hours. So if you are thinking to yourself you have some time to decide, you really only have until Monday. You most likely wont be able to register by Tuesday.
