It is the time of year! When the South Philly Striders and Fishtown Beer Runners run the streets of South Philly to enjoy the holiday lights. And this year is the 10th Annual run!

The run will start Thursday, December 7th, at 7:00 PM at Columbus Square (12th and Wharton). The run ends at Victory Beer Hall at XFINITY Live! (11th and Pattison). Drink specials include $5 selected drafts, and the specials will be available throughout XFINITY. Bring your IDs.

As is tradition, there will be a food drive to benefit Philabundance. Please bring canned and other non-perishable food to Columbus Square. If you’d like to donate online, you can do so here. Do you think you can help them beat last years collection of a few hundred pounds of food and $1,034 in donations?!

Feel free to dress festive for this run; wear bells, lights, and holiday costumes. All paces are welcome. The route is 4.01 miles. Click here for the cue sheet and the MapMyRun map here.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Please obey traffic rules and ONLY cross streets, particularly Broad Street or Oregon Avenue, on green lights. They do not want any accidents or having drivers annoyed at them for crossing on red lights. Also, please respect the neighborhood. Observe areas where there are signs to stay off the grass.
