We start this introduction with some breaking news. The ODDyssey Half Marathon will not be run in 2018. We’ll let you take a moment to process this.

They say all good things must come to an end, but that is not the case here. While the ODDyssey brand is ending, that doesn’t mean the race will be! Instead it is transforming!

We are excited to introduce the Run Fest!

Run Fest will take place June 3rd, 2018 and this is a festival that celebrates that way of life and your journey in it. Run Fest boasts three races, yoga, live music, and the City’s greatest post-race festival! The entire run will take place Memorial Hall with all races finishing at the West bank of the Schuylkill River (at Black Road).

Gather your friends because the three races; a Half Marathon, a 5K, and the Charity Mile make it suitable for all runners. Plus, all races are timed to finish together. So, no matter which race you are running, you can celebrate with your friends! Check out the race courses: Half Marathon, Charity Mile and the 5K.

The first event of the day starts with Sunrise Yoga, inviting runners to greet race day feeling calm, energized and ready to run. Runners then set out on three unique courses that explore the beauty and landmarks of Fairmount Park.

As runners cross the finish line, the celebration begins. After you grab your water and banana, head into the finish line festival for the Flying Fish beer garden, free massages from Phila Massages, food trucks, yoga sessions, live music, lawn games, selfie stations, and unique contests. Hands down this will be the best post-race celebration around and, to keep it fun, registration for all of the races combined will be capped at only 5,000 runners.

Best of all, 100% of all profits from the Charity Mile registrations will be donated to Students Run Philly Style. Registration will open November 14, 2017 at 10:00AM.

Last month I sat down and discussed this run with the Race Director of the ODDyssey Half Marathon. And I can tell you, based on his enthusiasm, you DO NOT want to miss this race!
