The description of the Pro Roller from Addaday:

The Pro features both the soft and medium density Surface Skin Technology and also includes a pinpoint precision gear. It allows for a versatile massage with three different levels of gears.

Here is a quick video explaining Addaday:

The best part of the Addaday Pro roller is how easy it is to use while still being effective. Truth be told I have not been much of a roller. In the 2 years I’ve been running I have only recently started using a roller as of this year (I got one for Christmas last year).

For me I rarely used my roller because I wasn’t sure how to. My previous roller was the traditional foam roller (pictured below). As far as I was concerned it looked like it came from Mars and I had no clue what to do with it. So unfortunately I did not use it as much as I should have. There would be times when I ended up using it because of a few injuries. However those times I used it, it was a very awkward experience. Do I sit on it? Does it sit on me? What’s going on here?Foam Roller

That’s what I love about the Addaday roller. It is pretty self-explanatory. You grab the two handles in each hand and start rolling like you are rolling out pie dough. Come on now, who has never either made or seen a pie get made?

Just because it is easy to use doesn’t mean it is less effective. A few months into my Chicago Marathon training plan I started experiencing some pretty severe hamstring pain. I ended up pulling my hamstring one night pretty badly. And I went right to my Addaday roller (seen below). I grabbed the two handles and started rolling. After a few days of this I noticed the pain started going away. After two weeks, I was pain-free! (Probably would have been sooner but I decided not to take any rest days during those two weeks, whoops).

If I were on the market for a roller I would most definitely have to look at Addaday first. Sure it is perfect for a newbie like me, but even if I had been rolling for years I would still want the Addaday roller. Mainly because of how easy it is to work out any part of your body. Because of the way it is designed you can get to almost every area of pain in your body. Have a pain in your shoulder? Try using a traditional foam roller for that. How do you think that will go?

Addaday took it one step further and set up a website to show you how to get to those pains all throughout your body. Visit this page to learn how to use Addaday to massage your IT Band, Quadricep’s, Inner Thigh, Calf, Shin and Hamstrings. They also set up this page to show you what the different parts of the roller do. While the random colors and sizes on the roller look pretty to the eye, they have their purpose as well.

I would completely recommend the Addaday roller to anyone in the market. Before I was introduced to rolling, I just assumed you had to walk off running pain in a few days. That is not the case. A roller will help you become pain-free in much quicker time. And the Addaday roller will help you in so many more areas than a traditional roller will.

The Addaday roller is $47 compared to a traditional roller at $20, so you will end up paying more. However it can be used to relieve over double the amount of injury/ pain areas on your body so you are getting your money’s worth.
