Register Now For The Gary Papa 5K and 10K!

If you grew up in the Philadelphia area watching 6ABC you already know the name Gary Papa. He was one of Philly’s most beloved personalities. Sadly in June of 2009 Philly (and the world) lost Gary to his battle with prostate cancer. However his legacy still remains.

In 2002 the Foundation For Breast and Prostate Health (FBPH) hosted their very first Father’s Day “Run 4 Your Life” 5K. Three years later, in 2005, Papa joined the FBPH board and quickly devoted his talent and energy to help generate prostate cancer awareness and research. So it only made sense that after Gary Papa’s passing that the FBPH chose to cherish and honor his memory by renaming the race after him so that his dedication to their cause will never be forgotten.

On Sunday June 18th of this year, you can help support this great cause! Join thousands of other runners as they run the Ben Franklin Parkway to help make a difference. Sign up for either the 5K or 10K distance. You can check out the course maps here.
